Essayshift presents itself as a cheap company with great papers. This is what every student would want from a service. Now, you can immediately confirm that the company is cheap since their rates are right there on the calculator on the homepage. But, is it good?
This is what we were trying to discover, which is why we checked the website and ordered to see the results. The website is really plain and lacks the key pages, so it can be hard to find out more about the company unless you look outside of the website, too. The support wasn’t of much help, so we decided to do what we do best – dig deeper. Read our Essay Shift review to know what we found out.

All kinds of services are in the calculator on the homepage, where you can also see the prices. Don’t expect to find details on their services, guarantees, or anything of the kind. This is one of the emptiest websites we’ve ever reviewed. They might have aimed for simplicity, but the bottom line is – you can hardly find anything on the website.
The list we were telling you about is a detailed list of many papers, even reports and projects that aren’t so frequent in schools. And, if the thing you need isn’t there, you can check the option other and see if they’d be willing to deliver your paper.
Prices at Essay Shift
The prices can also be found in the calculator and they are pretty great. Essays within two weeks here cost $10, which is a great price. Some of the top-rated companies we’ve researched have double this price. In fact, we’ve never come across one that has such prices and good quality. But, we still hoped for the best.
Even if you check for a shorter deadline, let’s say a week, this price grows only a little – $12 for a page. If you increase the academic level to college, a paper within a week costs $15, and for university it costs $17. Even PhD papers are considerably cheap for such deadline – $31.
Discounts & Additional Features
The part with the prices went well and would tempt anyone to buy. But, don’t rush into this just yet. They have presented no discounts on the website, which is a disappointment. But, if you try and leave the website, a pop up will show, asking you to send them your email so that they can give you a discount.
That’s what we did. We gave them an email address. But, they never sent a discount offer. What they sent were constant messages that asked us to buy from the company, but never a discount. So, this is a scam.
When we realized that we’d be getting no discounts this way, we reached out to their support on the live chat. It took the person a while to respond and when he did, we didn’t want to tell us about their discount offers. He wanted us to share all the details about the paper before he decides on what discount he will give us, and how big a discount.
So, they have no fixed discounts and no loyalty discounts. In the end, what we got for a big paper with a tight deadline was 3% discount. This is the lowest we’ve ever been offered.
We placed our order and weren’t given any chance to pick any additional features. You can only choose the paper format during your order. Apparently, they have a plagiarism check and editing that come free of charge.
Or at least, that is what they made us believe. When we received the paper, we found 27% of plagiarism in it, and over 20 mistakes throughout the pages. What was supposed to be a free feature turned out to be yet another scam, which made us even more furious about the company.
The bottom line is, we didn’t like this service. They have these great prices and a good service list, but the rest is terrible. Starting with the website that lacks some of the most important information a customer could find, to the writers who don’t do what they promise – this company is not one we’d recommend.
The final straw to our big disappointment was that the support didn’t do a single thing about our plagiarism. This is supposed to be a reason enough to get a refund, especially when you combine it with mistakes and bad quality. For this company, it wasn’t even a reason for a free revision or a discount of some kind that we would use the next time we order.
